Christopher W. Gordon is currently living and working in Wilmington, NC where he is and has been a Special Education teacher for the past 16 years. In the course of his teaching career, he has worked with a wide variety of special needs children in grade 3 through 8, in settings ranging from self contained to inclusive classrooms. Over the past 5 years, Gordon has led the effort to develop a Response to Intervention Student Support system at the middle school level in the New Hanover County school district. He is also a nationally certified instructor/facilitator for the All Kinds of Minds neurodevelopmental framework of learning.
Gordon is the product of the lifelong and experiential approach to learning having been a boat builder and carpenter, as well as having attended The Colorado College, Cape Fear Community College, The University of North Carolina at Wilmington, and graduated from The Regents College, State University of New York over a 25 year period. This experience has provided him a unique perspective on the nature of school and learning.
